The Scottish Highland village of Carrbridge - home of the annual Golden Spurtle World Porridge Making Championship - stands at the northern gateway to the Cairngorms.

It is an area steeped in traditional and contemporary culture with its rich heritage reflected in the spectacular mountain and moorland landscape.

It is also a natural larder providing some of the finest produce with an ever increasing number of restaurants, hotels and other establishments making use of the best home grown ingredients to create an authentic local dining experience.

In the countdown to this year's World Porridge Making Championship and to mark the wider celebration of Scotland's reputation as the Land of Food and Drink, we have created a special programme of events - some with an oatmeal theme - to showcase just a taste of what the Cairngorms and surrounding area has to offer.

Combined with our local Food and Drinks Trail, we invite you to join us on this foodie adventure to experience a real Taste of the Cairngorms.

CAIRNGORMS FOOD & DRINK TRAIL • THE UK'S HIGHEST PORRIDGE BREAKFAST
BEER & WHISKY TASTING • WORLD PORRIDGE MAKING CHAMPIONSHIP

Taste of the Cairngorms has been co-ordinated by the organisers of the Golden Spurtle World Porridge Making Championship working with local businesses as part of the wider celebration of Scotland's reputation as the Land of Food & Drink.
